Shinhodaka Ropeway

Take Japan's first 2-story gondola to the top of 2156-meter high mountain. The track length is 3200 meters. Many wonderful views of Japanese Alps along the way.

Hida Takayama

The city of Takayama is the political and cultural center of Hida region. The most popular tourist spots are the old town and Hida-no-sato. Takayama Festival, one of the most well-known festivals in Japan, is held here in spring and autumn.

1 hour by car from Hirayu.

Hirayu Otaki (Waterfall)

Hirayu Waterfall is one of three most impressive waterfalls in Hida. The waterfall is 64 meters high and 6 meters wide.
